After an operation, appetite often drops, pain medicine can cause nausea or constipation, and the body needs enough food, fluids and protein to heal. Discharge instructions about medicine times, diet steps and warning signs come on paper, often when people are tired and in pain, and family members helping out may not know what was already taken.

You choose who sees it

Nothing goes to a care team unless you connect to a participating program. Once you connect, they can see what you log in the app, and you can stop sharing at any time.

Your photos live on your phone

Meal photos are kept on your device. If you use food naming, a copy is sent to our AI provider to name the food, and we don't keep it. You can delete your account and data at any time.

No ads, no selling data

We do not sell your data or show ads. Read exactly what we collect in our policies.

Good questions.

Is there a separate Rumi app for iPhone?

No. On iPhone, Rumi is a program inside Pippa Companions. Download Pippa Companions, open it and pick Rumi. On Android, Rumi is its own app on Google Play.

Can Rumi change my medicine or diet plan?

No. Rumi does not change medicine doses, check drug interactions, advance a diet or activity plan, or decide whether recovery is complete. Follow your surgical team or pharmacist.

Does my care team see everything?

Only once you connect to a participating program. After that they can see what you log in the app, and you can stop sharing at any time. Nothing is watched in real time.

Is this an emergency service?

No. The app does not monitor your notes in real time. If you need urgent help, call 911 or your local emergency number.

What does it cost?

The app is free to download, and logging, asking for help, your care team and your history never cost anything. An optional Pro subscription adds extras, like more looks for your companion. On iPhone, one Pippa Companions Pro subscription covers every program.
